Decked-out TJ’s was what got me interested in Jeeps when I was young. Doors off, dressed-up roll bars, roof rack, and the snorkel in the front for those hardcore water fording guys!
Since then I’ve owned and dressed up my fair share of Jeeps, 2-door and 4-door alike. And with that comes trial and error with all kinds of products.
One of the many things I have replaced on my JL Jeep was the factory roll bar cover, and the Koverz Neoprene Roll Bar Cover made the swap super easy!
I have tried a handful of different roll bar covers now, and they aren’t all created equal!
Below I look at the 5 Best Jeep Roll Bar Covers that I have found in different styles and colors and what to look for to find a high-quality accessory to put on your Jeep!

1. Koverz Neoprene Roll Bar Cover Padding (Best Overall)
When comparing all the roll bar covers in this list, we found the Koverz Neoprene Cover to be the best overall.
Koverz products have been great to me in the past, and this roll bar cover did not let me down!
I got this for a four-door that has a hard top and even though it didn’t have an installation card with it, I found it very simple to install; match up the pieces to the bars, wrap them around and zip up!
One of the biggest draws to this kit for me was the Neoprene padding. It is durable and resistant to the elements, and has been very easy for me to clean off after a fun weekend mudding!
And I read that I can have them installed while also having a soft top installed if I ever wanted to go that route in the future!
2. Bestop Spice Sport Bar Cover for TJ (Best Colored)
When you compare all the best colored roll bar covers for jeeps, the Bestop SpiceSport Bar Cover always comes out on top!
If you are running an ol’ TJ two-door Jeep, then Bestop is likely your go-to stop for all Jeep accessories!
This cover requires a bit of wrangling (see what I did there?) to get it to fit like the factory ones, but looks great once installed!
Bestop offered color-matched padding to make sure the look of your TJ lines up perfectly (everyone has their Jeep decked out these days).
They work great in both extreme heat and cold temperatures, with no cracking or major discoloration which is a big plus. AND the material is water-resistant, so there is no need to treat it when you purchase it.
If you aren’t sure about this cover, I can tell you it is worth it! They offer a warranty to cover any faults and show that they believe in their products!
3. SmittyBilt Molle Sports Bar Cover Kit (Best Velcro)
If you need roll bar covers that have a snug fit, we recommend the Smittybilt Sports Bar Cover Kit. Because of the velcro it stays secure at all times, even over rough terrain.
SmittyBilt has a reputation for making high-quality off-road products and this Roll Bar Cover kit is no exception.
The foam-lined canvas is made from high-quality materials and holds up well against harsh sunlight UV rays, keeping up the unfaded look!
Installation was pretty simple, I had heard about several others that came without installation instructions, but I wasn’t too worried about that since I have put on a few other kits in the past.
It comes with the MOLLE attachment points in the front and rear that guide you to the exact spots to install it.
Once both the zippers and velcro are secured, the pads feel snug and fit perfectly!
If you are looking for an extra secure roll bar cover, look no further than this Smittybilt Sports Bar Cover!
4. Longacre Roll Bar Padding (Best For DIY Roll Bars)
Are you looking for something that offers quick and easy installation but is still reliable? Then we cannot recommend the Longacre Roll Bar Padding enough!
I normally stick to kits and products designed for the vehicle I am driving, but for those out there working on a tighter budget, these custom-sized foam pads are a good option to go with!
They are commonly used in race cars with roll cages to give more protection to the driver.
If you are handy and enjoy a project, this is the perfect product for you! There are several colors to order from and are very simple to attach to your roll bars with some heavy-duty Zip Ties.
The adhesive on the padding is handy for lining up the material to attach but doesn’t give you much help in keeping it secured to the bar once it has been out in the sun or rain.
5. Oryx Auto Roll Bar Handles (Best For Offroad Safety)
If you’re the type of person who likes to keep things sweet and simple, the Oryx Auto Roll Bar Handles are for you!
I find that when my Jeep’s doors are off, I like to have a little bit of help getting in and out of it. The grab handles are perfect for jumping in and out and as an ‘oh shit’ handle when things get a little out-of-control out on the trail.
They are very easy to install, and although there have been a few QC issues with the plastic parts on them, they are very affordable!
If you are looking for a reliable and easy accessory to add to your Jeep, definitely give these a try!
A Guide To Choosing The Best Jeep Roll Bar Covers
Quality & Material
There are a few different styles of Roll Bar Covers, each with a different look and slightly different material. We are looking for a firm canvas style material that is waterproof and proven to not fade over time from sun exposure.
This ensures the interior foam padding will be safe from the elements and last a long time. Canvas-style material is also easy to clean when it inevitably gets dirty on the trail.
Black is the most common color that you will find for a roll bar, and unfortunately, over time it will eventually fade, but the difference isn’t as drastic compared to other colors that I have seen.
Tans and Browns look much worse after being affected by the sun, which makes black seem like a very safe color.
You can treat it with UV protectant to increase the longevity of your product!
Your roll bars will have some kind of foam padding, if it is unprotected (aside from the high-quality Neoprene) it will absorb water and eventually mildew.
The pads that are high-quality canvas material are super easy to clean, you can simply wash them at the same time as the rest of the Jeep with a pressure washer.
Personally, I prefer the latter, being able to wash down my Jeep without any special precautions.
There are a few things to consider when purchasing a roll bar cover: the quality, price, type of material used, and installation difficulty. In my experience, the Koverz Neoprene Roll Bar Cover is one of the easiest to install and doesn’t break the bank! I would start there, and then look to add any accessories afterward!
