If you have been considering whether buying a Jeep Renegade makes sense for you, this article might help you make a decision.

The Renegades are new and don’t have as much customizability as their Wrangler cousins, but they can be made to look cool.

Because of that, I found the best jeep renegade lift kit on the market for you!

The Rough Country 2” lift kit is the best kit I could find for the Renegade.

It provides better clearance, adds an aggressive stance, and maintains a smooth factory ride at the same time!

I have modified several Jeeps myself, and I know just how important a unique look is for them.

Whether you take your rig to Easter Jeep Safari or just want to make it stand out in the parking lot, I 100% understand.

Below  I cover the four options available for the Renegades and answer some questions you may have about lift kits and whether you should lift your Jeep or not.

RC has come out with a knockout lift kit for the Jeep Renegade. Levels the front with the rear end giving an aggressive look to it

Looking for a great addition to your Jeep Renegade? Look no further! This 2” Leveling lift kit by Rough Country is incredible!

Backed by a limited lifetime replacement warranty, it can be installed by anyone who is slightly mechanically inclined. Although, it may take you longer than was expected (Over 12 hours).

This kit levels the front with the rear, while providing an extra two inches of clearance. The added clearance also gives the ability to have slightly larger tires and rims on this machine, giving more options for offroad use.

This is my most recommended kit for the Renegades because of the easy bolt-on installation (even if it takes a while), the aggressive stance it gives the Renegade, and the fantastic customer service that is provided by Rough Country.

Of all the few kits available for the Jeep Renegades, in my opinion, this one keeps the ride as close to the factory as possible, gives just enough added clearance, and improves the look of your ride the most!

If you have been considering a smaller SUV that you want to be able to take offroad; you have found the right vehicle with the Jeep Renegade.

With this 4” American Trail lift kit a Renegade will be able to navigate way more offroad terrain than it can with the factory configuration (4WD Models only).

The kit is the biggest available on the market and is constructed with the end-user in mind.

Every part of the kit is a bolt-on installation, and with a slight modification to the fenders, it is possible to install up to 30” tires on this machine.

The materials used have been given a corrosion-resistant anodized black finish ensuring it will be long-lasting!

If you are still concerned about whether the suspension components will last over time the ATP guys have also offered a Limited Life Time Warranty that will make sure you stay on the road if there ever was an issue.

I know with the price of lift kits it may seem hard to justify this one, but I assure you, this kit will make a huge difference in the look and capabilities of your Renegade!

If you have a Jeep Renegade and want to give it a distinctive look but don’t have much to work with, this is the kit for you!

TeraFlex builds high-quality kits made from 6061-T6 Billet Aluminum; it provides high strength with minimal added weight allowing it to maintain a factory ride.

The use of spacers means that the major suspension components are not altered which keeps the price budget-friendly with this kit!

The spacers are usable on both FWD and 4WD models which makes this kit Renegade friendly.

TeraFlex has crafted these spacers deliberately to fit in with the stock suspension, keeping the wheel offset the same and not taking away from the great factory feel.

This spacer kit is also the only lift kit for the Renegade that includes the front sway-bar disconnects which allows you more axle control while offroading, getting over larger obstacles with ease.

If you like the looks of the TeraFlex kit, you should take a look at them if you are going to lift your Gladiator. They make fantastic kits for them as well that I think you should consider!

Daystar provides a much-needed lift kit for Jeep Renegades. Install this kit to get more clearance for better offroading tires!

When I want to install a lift kit into a vehicle one of the things I consider is just how much more clearance I want and how it will impact my everyday driving.

The Daystar Comfort Ride kit provides just enough added clearance to be able to move up a couple of tire sizes (factory tire size is 27”).

On top of having more bottom-end clearance, the larger tires will lift it up more as well creating a better offroad platform to work with!

This kit was the first to market for the Jeep Renegades and held up to the Jeep communities scrutiny.

The installation instructions are impeccably detailed which makes the installation (which is indeed 100% bolt-on without modifications) very easy to follow and do for yourself.

Like the majority of lift kits, after installation, be sure to get an alignment done on your vehicle to prevent any damage to it.

A major point to Daystar is the Warranty they provide. Their words: if your kit has any issues we will replace it free of charge.

How To Choose A Lift Kits For Your Jeep Renegade

Lift Height

When trying to decide lift height, you need to consider what you want to accomplish with your vehicle.

Jeep Renegades don’t have as much variation as their Wrangler cousins, but the higher the lift the more clearance you will achieve.

Generally speaking, the larger your lift, the more components you will have to replace in order to accommodate the changes.

If you are just looking for a slight clearance upgrade to put bigger tires on, then a 1.5” or 2” lift will be all you need!

The Installation Process

The only kit in this article that I would recommend having installed for you is the 3” American Trail Lift.

The major suspension components are replaced with that kit, rather than just installing spacers to lift your ride.

The leveling and spacer kits are much simpler to install and with good enough instructions anyone can do that for themselves!

Durability

The components that make up your suspension need to be strong and long-lasting.

The materials for the Jeep Renegade kits are made from billet aluminum and have corrosion-resistant finishes which will provide durability and longevity to your vehicle!

Your Jeeps Weight

Jeep weight will impact how much effect your lift kit will have. A heavier vehicle will cause the springs to sag more than a lighter vehicle, reducing the impact of the lift kit.

With that in mind, heavier vehicles will either need very strong shocks, etc or will want to utilize a spacer kit that won’t be greatly affected by the weight of the vehicle.

Different Types Of Lift Kits

Leveling Kit

In general, the front end of a vehicle sits lower than the back end to increase its aerodynamics. A leveling kit will even out the stance of a vehicle; normally with larger spacers in the front than the back.

Spacer Lift Kits

Spacer lift kits are just what they sound like. Utilizing metal, rubber, or polyurethane spacers to lift a vehicle without needing to change out the springs.

Often called a coil spacer or budget-boost lift kit because they are the most affordable to install. Typically they will only increase up to 2.5” lift.

Suspension Lift Kit

A suspension lift kit replaces way more than the leveling and spacer lift kit counterparts.

Where they just add to the existing suspension, a suspension lift kit will replace the factory components with larger and more aggressive components.

When doing a larger lift, the factory shocks and accommodating components either aren’t big/long enough or can’t maintain a quality ride.

These kits provide the largest lifts possible allowing for the largest tires and offroad capability.

Summing It Up

By now you can see there are some high-quality choices that you can pick from (although few options) to add to your Jeep Renegade.

If you are still unsure of what size of lift you want to install, I would recommend the Rough Country 2” Lift Kit.

You will maintain a great factory ride, get the best possible look from your Renegade and improve the clearance at the same time.
