I’ve been eyeing up different lift kits for a Gladiator for a while now and I wanted to share my research with the rest of you!

In my search for what the best Jeep Gladiator lift kit was, here is what I found!

A 4” suspension lift kit by Superlift was the best lift kit I could find for the Jeep Gladiators.

It provides a huge ground clearance boost and manages to maintain a factory driving feel with the heavy-duty aftermarket parts installed.

Further down I discuss a few other options that I think are great for the Jeep Gladiators as well as answer some of the most common questions about lift kits for Gladiators!

Superlift provides the best value in a lift kit. This kit provides extra strong equipment for the ultimate off-road experience in a Gladiator!

If you are looking for the best bang for your buck, then the Superlift 4” lift kit is the perfect option for you.

When considering what the best kit is for a vehicle we need to look at a lift kit’s value and what it adds to the vehicle.

This is the best overall kit because of the unreal off-road performance it provides and the incredible 4 inches of lift this kit adds to your 4×4 rig.

Replacing most of the factory suspension components, the most notable change is the 2.0 Fox Shocks and the Dual Rate Coils.

These components are what help maintain the factory smooth ride of the Gladiator while giving it the dynamic performance for off-road conditions.

The instructions are step-by-step but the common person may require getting a professional to install it for them. It is very important that everything is inline properly, otherwise, there could be major issues with your drivetrain down the road.

The only downside to this kit is just how tall it makes the Jeep, making it harder for kids and shorter individuals to climb in.

2. AEV 2” Spacer Lift Kit (Best 2” Lift for 2020+ Mojave)

AEV 2” Spacer Lift Kit
9.8/10 Our Score
  • Fits 2020+ Mojave Models
  • Includes ProCal SNAP
  • Improve Ground Clearance Without
  • Replacing OEM Parts
  • Quick & Easy Installation
  • Accommodates 37” Tall Tires
  • Fits only Mojave Gladiator
  • Aftermarket Wheels are required

The AEV 2” Spacer Kit is sweet and simple. Adds enough clearance for bigger tires and a meaner stance!

The Mojave’s are one of my favorite options available for the Gladiators and although they aren’t as off-road ready as the Rubicons are, they deserve a little love.

Adding the AEV spacer kit is a perfect way to do that, fitting on all 2020+ Gladiator Mojave models

The extra 2” of clearance makes it possible to install up to 37” x 12.5” wide tires (the kit requires aftermarket wheels with wheel spacers).

This is an appropriate lift kit for someone looking for a minor lift and doesn’t want to alter all the OEM parts.

The average installation process is 3 to 4 hours which makes it a quick and easy modification the average person can do in their garage.

The kit includes a ProCal SNAP tool that will save you a trip to the dealership.

This tool plugs into your OBDII port and allows you to recalibrate the speedometer to better fit the new tire size or axle ratio on your Gladiator!

If you are planning out the build on your Gladiator it is important to note that this kit only fits on Mojave models and having aftermarket wheels is a requirement for the kit to function properly!

3. Readylift 2.5” SST Lift Kit (Best 2.5” Lift)

Readylift 2.5” SST Lift Kit
9.6/10 Our Score
  • Allows up to 37” Tires on Rubicon
  • Fits Rubicon, Sport, and Overland, Models
  • Bolt-On Installation
  • Heavy-Duty Coil Springs Spacers
  • 2.5” Front Lift + 2” Rear Lift
  • Adds lift without altering OEM suspension
  • Eco-Diesel Models Need Stronger Suspension components
  • Doesn’t fit Mojave Models

The SST Lift Kit raises and levels the Jeep just enough to give a great look while sacrificing nothing in return!

Every Jeep owner has a preference for how much height and clearance they think is best for their rig.

This 2.5” lift gives the perfect boost to the factory height and clearance for larger tires (up to 37” tires) for offroading.

Readylift has created a simple lift kit to install by providing great instructions that direct you through an easy bolt-on installation.

The kit includes heavy-duty front and rear coil spring spacers, a bracket to drop the brake line down and extensions for the bump stops front shocks, and rear sway-bar end links.

This allows us to utilize the already impressive OEM suspension instead of having to make modifications to it.

The only model this kit will not fit with is the Mojave which has a different suspension setup from the other models.

I would also be wary of installing this lift on a Gladiator that has the 3.0L eco-diesel motor as it is heavier and already puts lots of strain on the factory suspension.

If you do go this route, consider replacing the OEM springs with something heavier duty!

Go with this kit if you are looking for something that gives a great look and sacrifices no handling!

4. Rough Country 2.5” Gladiator Leveling Kit (Best For Daily Driver)

Rough Country has a simple bolt-on lift kit that ensures a smooth ride!

If you plan on using your Gladiator as your daily driver, then this 2.5” Rough Country Gladiator leveling kit is the right choice for you!

Backed by a highly regarded 4×4 brand that offers a limited lifetime warranty, they believe in their products!

This kit maintains the smooth factory ride while also improving the clearance and stance of the Gladiator.

This is one of the benefits of lifting your Jeep, more clearance for bigger offroad tires.

…by adding meticulously designed spacers and new control arms to bolster your factory shocks, reducing the overall installation time and making use of the already fantastic suspension that Jeep designed for the vehicle.

The offroad capabilities once installed are significantly better than the stock ride.

This 2.5” lift levels the front of the Jeep with the rear perfectly, bringing the nose up which improves the overall look of the Gladiator.

Rough Country states the kit will only accommodate up to 35” rubber but many reviews mention using 37” tires and having no issues at all.

The installation of this kit should only take 3-4 hours and if you run into any hiccups along the way, the Rough Country support team is amazing to deal with and will get you up and running in no time!

5. Readylift 4” Terrain Flex Lift Kit (Best 4” Lift Kit)

Readylift 4” Terrain Flex Lift Kit
9.4/10 Our Score
  • Allows up to 37” x 12.5” Tires on Rubicon Models
  • Everything You Need To Install It
  • Aftermarket Springs
  • 4” in the Front and 3” in the Rear
  • Great on-road and off-road handling
  • Improves the factory stance
  • Not Applicable to Mojave and Diesels
  • Adaptive Cruise Control Needs Recalibration After Installation

The RL Flex Kit provides plenty of clearance and a high-quality ride on and off the pavement!

Looking to add a taller-than-average stance to your Gladiator?

…the Readylift 4” Flex Lift Kit provides more ground clearance than the other kits I recommend and can maintain a smooth ride nonetheless.

With an extra 4” in the front and 3” in the back, it levels out the stance and allows for up to 37” tires on the Rubicon models (who are we kidding, you wouldn’t lift the other models this high anyway!).

The kit is surprisingly easy to install and includes everything you need for installation within it.

It replaces the major suspension components; the front coil springs, lower control arms, shocks, swaybar end links, and the adjustable front track bar!

The heavy-duty aftermarket longer coil springs are needed to accommodate other heavy-weight accessories that are normally installed with a rig like this (think aftermarket bumpers, front winch).

This kit will handle the added steel bumpers without a struggle.

You might be wondering how it rides on the pavement with a taller lift kit, and I can say I was pleasantly surprised by how smooth of a ride it maintains.

There is little sway and with larger tires, it still hugs the pavement as if it were stock!

While it drives fine on the pavement, the added clearance opens up the Jeep Gladiator’s unreal offroad capabilities.

6. TeraFlex 1.5” Spacer Kit (Best 1.5” Lift Kit)

TeraFlex 1.5” Spacer Kit
9.2/10 Our Score
  • Clearance for up to 35” Tires On Rubicon
  • Simplest Kit On The Market
  • Ride Stays Family Friendly
  • Easy For Anyone To Install
  • Accommodates Heavy Accessories
  • Fits All Models
  • Minor Clearance Increase
  • Mainly An On-Road Upgrade

Keep your Gladiator family-friendly while supporting the heavy mods you’ve added to your 4×4 machine!

If you don’t want too much more ride height added to your Gladiator, then you have found the right kit!

Whether you don’t want to put on sidesteps or need to make sure the kids can climb into it no problem, the Teraflex kit is very accommodating.

When heavier bumpers and a winch are added to your Jeep, it causes the shocks to sag a little and puts an added strain on them.

The bump stops and spacers in this kit help prevent major sagging from happening and maintain a great look.

By not replacing any of the factory components your 4×4 will continue to have a smooth drive while also being able to have 35” tires installed.

This kit will also fit all the Jeep Gladiator models unlike any of the other kits on my recommended list above this one.

Being the simplest and easiest to install, it shouldn’t take you longer than 2-3 hours from start to finish with this kit.

If you plan on mainly using your new Jeep for highway and in-town driving then this or the Rough Country leveling kits are the ones I recommend, even if it only gives a minor clearance boost.

Remember, the bigger your tires become the less fuel-efficient your vehicle will be!

How I Determined The Best Gladiator Lift Kits…

The Fit

I have labeled it in each of the kits I recommend, but make sure that the Lift Kit you are going to install is viable for your model of Gladiator.

Many of the kits will work on all but the Mojave and vice-versa.

Lift Height

The lift heights in this article range from 1.5” to 4” and all of them have a purpose.

Minor lifts are mostly for aesthetics and occasionally for the extra ground clearance to install a larger tire. The middle-sized lifts, 2.5”, are the middle ground.

They provide a little extra clearance for the larger tires and maintain a great on and off-road factory ride.

The larger (4”) lift kits give the most clearance and are more off-road focused than the smaller kits.

Installation Costs

Installing a lift kit can be costly, especially the full suspension replacement kits. Having the proper tools and equipment to do the installation, let alone how to do it.

A professional installing a leveling kit may charge $200-$500 to install it. The suspension lift kits are much more labor-intensive and can cost several thousand dollars to have installed.

Company Reputation

Make sure to check on the quality of the kit you want to purchase.

Brands like ReadyLift and Rough Country are companies that have been proven to have excellent quality products over a long period of time.

Make sure to check what other customers are saying about the brand you are purchasing before doing so.

FAQ

How High Should I Lift My Jeep Gladiator?

This entirely depends on what you want to use it for! Daily driving grocery getter? Stick on the smaller side. 1.5-2” of lift.

Daily driver that is a weekend warrior? Get a 2.5” lift to a larger lift to get the clearance needed for larger, more aggressive tires.

Do Lift Kits Affect Braking?

The center gravity of the Jeep is affected by a lift kit. This shift in the center of gravity could affect how your Jeep is impacted by sharply breaking.

However, having a lift in your vehicle will not change how well the brakes work.

Summing It Up

While there are some other great companies out there, the 4” Lift Kit by Superlift is certainly the best overall choice if you are driving a Rubicon Jeep Gladiator.

The smooth ride and off-road ground clearance provide more value than the other kits can add!
